Evolution Festival is back and bigger than ever with two days of top acts – a first for the festival - performing on the NewcastleGateshead quaysides on Sunday 24 and Bank Holiday Monday 25 May 2009. Headline acts across the weekend include Dizzee Rascal and The Wombats who are joined by influential eighties band The Human League and hotly tipped new talent including White Lies, Little Boots, VV Brown, Ladyhawke and Friendly Fires. The rich regional talent is supplied by The Chapman Family, Detroit Social Club, Little Comets and Viva City. Dance fans have a treat in store with the addition of a dance stage on Baltic Square on Sunday 24th May - acts include Boys Noize, Chase & Status Live, BBC Radio 1’s Kissy Sell-out and The Count & Sinden. Weekend tickets have sold out. However, day tickets are still available priced £9.50 (+ booking fee) and on sale online, from city centre HMV stores and from usual local outlets.
