Taking place over 3 days in the beautiful surroundings of De Montfort Hall in the heart of the city of Leicester, Summer Sundae Weekender is a music festival unlike any other – filled with new and legendary musical acts, stuffed with a range of performances that run the full spectrum of the arts, adhering proudly to a staunchly green ethos and, most importantly, unpredictable, laidback and exciting. Unusually for a festival, it is exceedingly easy to get to (with the train from London St Pancras taking little over an hour) and provides punters with a choice of campsites with excellent facilities (included with the discounted Visit Britain weekend ticket) or hotels. Since its inception in 2001 it has grown to become one of the UK’s best-loved festivals, and now, in its 9th year, promises to be the most fun-packed instalment yet.
