1. Promote public transport and lift share. Where applicable charge for car parking to subsidise extra coaches. Reward low impact travel.
2. Ensure environmental initiatives are organization wide – pre-production /office/crew/artists/public/sponsors and suppliers. Incorporate environmental standards into your trader and contractor terms and condition.
3. Have a dedicated Environmental Manager before, during and after the event.
4. Have a coherent reduce/reuse/recycle policy. Encourage the local authorities to help achieve maximum efficiency with waste management.
5. Have reusable or returnable cups at bars with deposits.
6. Ban non-recyclables at the event. Request biodegradable or reusable containers and ensure there is composting organised for this and food waste.
7. Minimise energy use, set "power budgets’"and where possible use renewable energy sources.
8. Use self stopping taps and encourage water bottle refills. Only use ethical bottled water suppliers
9. Prioritise local and ethical suppliers and traders.
10. Have an effective tent recovery plan. Provide eco – accommodation on site to avoid the number of tents left behind.
