Fallow Festival Fund - relaunched for 2026

The Fallow Festival Fund has now relaunched for 2026.

This initiative serves as a collective safety net, offering expertise, services, and product support from across the AIF network to help independent festivals navigate a hiatus this year and plan a successful return in 2027.

Independent festivals are currently facing unprecedented pressure—from rising supply-chain costs to the long-tail effects of Brexit and the pandemic. Following a devastating 2024 and the fund's successful launch in 2025, we are continuing our mission to ensure that a fallow year is a strategic pause, not a permanent closure.

As well as being able to take advantage of the generous pledges outlined in this programme, all participating festivals will receive 12 months of free membership to the AIF, providing immediate access to our specialist resources, training, and our full network of supportive industry peers.

SUPPORT FROM THE INDUSTRY

The Fallow Festival Fund is powered by the generosity of our supplier network.

We are proud to have 20+ companies already pledged to support the fund in 2026. A huge thanks to them all.

2026 SUPPORTING PARTNERS: We Group & EventMasters, LS Events, Gigantic, Skiddle, Kaboodle powered by Weezevent, Eventree, Azorra, Lewis Silkin, A Greener Future, Attitude is Everything, TLT, Howden Music, Eventwise, Vintents, FestivalPro, Addi London, Discotech, Ticket Hype, Crescat, Amplead, Gigseekr, and Silent Disco King.

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

The UK festival sector saw a record 78 events announce a postponement or closure in 2024—more than double the previous year. Since 2020, over 200 festivals have been lost.

The Fallow Festival Fund was created to help break this cycle. By providing tailored support—ranging from legal and financial consultancy to marketing and operational expertise—we believe more festivals can return successfully from a fallow year and with greater resilience for the future.
