CONTROL OF UK OUTDOOR CONCERTS - SUMMER 2026
The UK Business and Trade Select Committee has published its report on competition and market functioning in the live music industry.
It recommends that the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launch a market investigation into the UK live music industry by the end of 2026 (or sooner if possible).
It says the investigation should..
1. Look at the market as a whole, considering all aspects of the UK live music industry across the entire supply chain.
2. Obtain the required data to determine the extend of the market share of each of the vertically integrated companies.
3. Determine whether there is dominance at play in the live music market or harmful integration and whether this is leading to abuse of market dominance position and anti-competitive practices.
and..
4. Pay special attention to the position and behaviour of Live Nation in the market

LIVE Nation responded saying “This report misrepresents the UK Live music industry by relying on inaccurate data”
We have shared, published and submitted collections of live music data previously. We now thought it would be helpful to the UK Government, the CMA, Live Nation and the public to do so again, but this time to build and show the data in public.
First up, here’s what we believe are UK Outdoor Concerts happening this Summer. We’ve not included Stadium shows, which we are collecting in another set which contains all arena and stadium concerts which we’ll publish down the line. So for now scroll away. If you see any missing, or any errors, you can submit changes on the form below. We’ll update the data regularly.
