AIF calls for Competition and Markets Authority to investigate Live Nation

Live Nation could be held responsible for engaging in anti-competitive behaviour, according to AIF analysis.

LONDON Tuesday 8 July 2025 — The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) has called for an investigation into Live Nation from the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority.

Somerset’s new Homestead festival announced its cancellation today (Monday 9 June) and is the 39th festival to fall so far this year. That figure is half the number of festivals that fell in 2024, and has been met almost a month ahead of 2025’s mid-point.
